Actor Peter Mayhew, best known for portraying Chewbacca in the original Star Warstrilogy, died this Tuesday at 74. His family made the announcement on the actor's Twitter account, saying that he passed away in his North Texas home, surrounded by their beloved ones.Mayhew was working in a hospital in London when producer Charles H. Scheer asked him to participate in Simbad and the Eye of The Tigerin 1977.
