Hong Kong police have apprehended a 62-year-old man over suspected “offences in connection with seditious intention,” marking the eighth arrest under the new security law in a case linked to jailed human rights activist Chow Hang-tung. The national security trial of three former leaders of a now-disbanded Tiananmen vigil group will not begin this year, a Hong Kong judge has said, more than two years since the group was charged.
