Count Jon Bon Jovi among the rock stars open to the idea of a hologram or avatar tour. In the past few years, technological advancements have helped keep some acts’ material onstage, even though the artists themselves were not there. The most notable examples are ABBA and Ronnie James Dio, who each launched hologram concerts. Similarly, Kiss turned heads at the conclusion of their End of the Road farewell tour, when they revealed that they would continue forth as a virtual band made up of avatars. Asked whether his group would ever consider such a move, Bon Jovi was open minded. “I don’t think...

Richie Sambora is reportedly unhappy about the way he is portrayed in the upcoming Bon Jovi documentary series, Thank You, Goodnight. In an interview with People, Jon Bon Jovi revealed that he invited Sambora over to his home to screen the documentary. “There’s never animosity,” the singer insisted, however a representative for Sambora painted things a little differently. “Richie flew out to see Jon and brought him a birthday present — a really nice guitar — but they screened Jon’s documentary instead,” the source told People. “Richie left after the third episode because he was sick and tired ...

His future remains in doubt after he underwent vocal cord surgery in 2022. Asked by Classic Rock to choose one last song to perform, Bon Jovi replied: “Oh my God – just one? That puts me on the spot!” REA...

Die US-Rockband Bon Jovi («Living On A Prayer», «It's My Life») feiert in diesem Jahr das 40.

Jon Bon Jovi has reassured fans he is still "more than capable" of singing. The 62-year-old rocker underwent vocal cord surgery in 2022 and though he is "well into the recovery", he isn't quite ready to get back out on stage yet, though he's confident he will be eventually. Speaking at a screening of the 'Thank you, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story' docuseries in Santa Monica on Wednesday (10.04.24), he said: “What you saw on film was shot last March in that scene when I couldn't sing well, or two years ago when I was on the road. “I'm well into the recovery [now]. I'm more than capable of singin...

A letter signed by 200 artists including Pearl Jam, Jon Bon Jovi and R.E.M. called on AI developers to change their approach to how music is used with the technology. The strongly-worded statement from the Artist Rights Alliance expressed concerns that the value of human creativity is being devalued by the way art is used to train language models – amounting to an “assault on human creativity.” “Make no mistake: we believe that, when used responsibly, Al has enormous potential to advance human creativity… in a manner that enables the development and growth of new and exciting experiences for m...

Doc McGhee has responded to Jon Bon Jovi’s recent claim that the 1989 Moscow Music Peace Festival was organized as part of a plea deal to keep the manager out of jail. McGhee – who represented Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Skid Row and Scorpions throughout the ‘80s – was busted in 1982 for his involvement with drug smugglers bringing tons of marijuana into America. The manager was facing up to 30 years in prison but was able to avoid jail time. In a recent interview with Conan O’Brien, Bon Jovi insisted the concert was part of the deal. “To keep him out of jail, I had to go to the Soviet Union,” the ...

Jon Bon Jovi looked back on keeping Hugh McDonald’s work with Bon Jovi a secret, as the group tried to cover for original bassist Alec John Such. McDonald was a key member of the team from its earliest days, playing bass on “Runaway” on Bon Jovi’s self-titled debut album, and continuing to contribute from then on, often without a credit. When Such departed in 1994, McDonald became the full-time bassist, but was only made an official member in 2018. Such died of a heart attack four years later.
