Just 10 hours after the defense team representing former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin rested their case, the jury reached a speedy verdict of guilty of second and third degree murder. The jury also found Chauvin guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter. Chauvin was formally charged with second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. Biden Signs Executive Order To Improve Voting Systems On ‘Bloody Sunday’ Anniversary
President Joe Biden signed an executive order on Sunday directing the federal government to expand voter registration and election information access. Biden’s bill was signed on the 56th anniversary of Bloody Sunday and the Selma to Montgomery marches for civil and voting rights. The late House Rep.
