On their second day of training camp, the Cleveland Browns are already dealing with a plethora of injuries to their wide receiving core. Star receiver Amari Cooper had to leave Sunday’s practice early due to a “minor tweak,” as he is day to day on the team’s unofficial injury report. General manager Andrew Berry confirmed it was a minor tweak but did say it was unrelated to the core muscle surgery Cooper underwent earlier this offseason. According to Mary Kay Cabot, Browns beat writer, he spent much of Sunday afternoon in the therapy pool within the Browns’ temporary West Virginia facilities a...

The Cleveland Browns signed offensive lineman Colby Gossett Wednesday, adding more protection for quarterback Deshaun Watson. Gossett was a member of the Browns from 2019 to 2021. Before joining the NFL, Gossett played at Appalachian State for four seasons from 2013 to 2017, earning first-team all-conference honors in his junior and senior years. The Minnesota Vikings selected him in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft but quickly waived him. After a year on the Arizona Cardinals, during which he briefly appeared on the main roster, and a very short stint with the New England Patriots, he la...

Safety Juan Thornhill signed a three-year, $21 million contract with the Cleveland Browns. Thornhill won two Super Bowls with the Kansas Chiefs in four seasons with the team. Thornhill, a second-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, played four seasons at the University of Virginia, where he twice earned All-ACC honors. As a member of the Chiefs, he immediately earned the role as starting free safety and played in 74 games for the team between 2019 and 2022. Immediately after signing with Cleveland, Thornhill seemed to begin recruiting others around the league. The new Browns defender took to Twit...

Former NFL player Peyton Hillis is no longer using a ventilator in the hospital after he sustained a serious injury saving his children from drowning at a beach in Pensacola Beach, Florida. His girlfriend, Angela Cole, confirmed on Instagram that he was on “the road to recovery.” “A hero. So proud of this man and so incredibly grateful for family and this incredible hospital,” Cole said. Hillis had been in critical condition at a Pensacola hospital since the incident on Jan. 5. With the incident surrounding Bills safety Damar Hamlin fresh in many NFL fans’ minds, there was a massive show of su...

A break-in occurred at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland early Tuesday last week, as at least one individual in an unknown vehicle trespassed and did significant damage to the turf on the field. Police in the city are investigating. The trespasser’s ride around the stadium reportedly involved several donuts and trips from the 20-yard line down the entire field. Authorities told a local news network that they believed an individual got into the stadium on foot and stole a golf cart upon entering. Grounds crews at the stadium had five days to repair the field in time for the Browns’ game against ...

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens came up with a spectacular catch on Thursday Night Football – and it’s being compared to a famous play. In the first quarter, when the Steelers were trailing 7-0, quarterback Mitch Trubisky was scrambling out of the pocket to his right. He wound up throwing it down the sideline to a place where only Pickens could catch it despite there being solid coverage by the Cleveland Browns. What was most impressive about the catch is Pickens’ concentration on the ball as his body was pointed in a different direction. The 2022 second-round pick secured ...

Cleveland Browns fans weren’t too happy after their team had a meltdown at the end of Sunday’s game – and one went overboard by taking it out on the team’s owner. Right after New York Jets rookie sensation Garrett Wilson caught the game-tying touchdown, a fan, who has been identified as Jeffrey Miller, threw a bottled beverage. It can be seen around the 13-second mark in the video below. The bottle hit owner Jimmy Haslam in the leg, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. But fortunately, the 68-year-old was not injured. “Luckily no one was harmed in this incident and as a standard practice...

Deshaun Watson will serve an 11-game suspension and the Cleveland Browns will need to decide who its new starting quarterback will be. In addition to the suspension, Watson agreed to pay a fine of $5 million, which is the largest player fine in NFL history. In between late 2019 and early 2021, the quarterback allegedly engaged in sexual misconduct, victimizing more than two dozen massage therapists. While two grand juries did not charge him, the NFL decided to take action. Originally, the suspension was six games but the NFL and the player’s associations reached an agreement on an 11-game...

In a 15-page conclusion released Monday morning, former federal judge Sue L. Robinson ruled that Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will serve a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy relating to sexual misconduct. Robinson said that there was not sufficient evidence to rule in favor of an indefinite suspension. The NFL Players Association has already confirmed that they will stand by Robinson’s ruling and encouraged the NFL to do the same. If the suspension is upheld, Watson will miss the first six games of the 2022 regular season, but will still be able ...

About a month ago, the Browns and Panthers were flirting with a possible trade for quarterback Baker Mayfield, which, of course, eventually fell apart. The rumor mill said the sides were too far apart with regards to how much the Browns would eat of Mayfield’s $18.8 million (fully guaranteed!) salary. Reports have now surfaced that Carolina wanted Cleveland to pay around $13-$14 million of the total, which the Browns clearly scoffed at. The Panthers instead decided to draft QB Matt Corral out of Mississippi in the third round. It could work in the Browns’ favor to keep Mayfield around, as Desh...
