Goose Crashes Dodger Stadium During Game 2 Of NLDS
The San Diego Padres were four outs away from taking Game 2 of their NLDS series against the Los Angeles Dodgers when a goose flew on to the field. Dodgers second baseman Gavin Lux hit a single soon after to bring the tying run to the plate. The situation didn’t improve for the Padres when closer Josh Hader came in, as the reliever walked the next batter to put men on first and second. But Hader eventually found his way out of the jam, getting catcher Austin Barnes to fly out to end the eighth inning. San Diego went on to win 5-3.
