German retailer Otto reports losses for second year in a row
German retailer the Otto Group reported financial losses for the second year in a row on Wednesday, after a boom in profits during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Hamburg-based group saw a loss of €426 million ($462 million) in the financial year 2023-24, following a loss of €413 million in the previous year and a profit of some €1.8 billion in 2021-22.
