California Lawmakers Approve The Decriminalization Of Psychedelics
California could soon become the third state to decriminalize psychedelics after the state assembly passed a bill that would allow adults 21 and older to legally possess the drug in both plant and mushroom form. Introduced by State Sen. Scott Weiner in 2021, Senate Bill 58 was passed in a 42-11 vote. It would decriminalize substances such as psilocybin, DMT and hallucinogenic mushrooms.
