Four-star small forward Kanon Catchings has committed to BYU and new head coach Kevin Young, a source told On3. Ranked 39th nationally in the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings, Catchings is the highest-ranked recruit to choose BYU in a decade. Former Oklahoma and Purdue wrestler Gerrit Nijenhuis committed to Cal State Bakersfield, according to a post on his Twitter page. Nijenhuis entered the portal in the beginning of the month.
