Rhyne Howard has flourished in her third year in the WNBA. Even though her team, the Atlanta Dream, isn’t doing so hot with a 6-7 record thus far, Howard has continued to perform at an All-Star level. Unfortunately, it seems like Howard may be sidelined for some time due to an injury she suffered against the Minnesota Lynx on Wednesday. The Dream described the injury as a “lower leg injury”. That’s almost never good. Maybe one glimmer of hope is that it doesn’t appear to be a ligament tear, at least not an obvious one. It looks more like an ankle injury in this particular clip. Fingers crossed...

Rhyne Howard has been more than good in her third season in the WNBA. Just the other day, she passed Diana Taurasi to become the youngest player in league history to make 200 career threes. The success continues for the former ‘Cat. On Thursday, Howard and the Atlanta Dream took on the Indiana Fever — the team headlined by Aliyah Boston and, of course, Caitlin Clark. It was a game full of stars, and Howard made her presence felt on the big stage. In 28 minutes of play, Howard scored a season-best 26 points while shooting 6-10 from three-point range. She also had two rebounds and two steals on ...

Rhyne Howard has had an excellent WNBA up to this point in her career, and she continues to add to her already stacked resume. She is the first player from Kentucky to go No. 1 in the WNBA draft, she’s a two-time all star, and now, she’s the youngest player in WNBA history to make 200 career threes. The record was previously held by Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury. Howard was 24 years and 43 days old when she made her 200th three, while Taurasi was 24 years and 46 days old. Just a three day difference between the two. Of course, Howard’s now the record holder. In typical Rhyne Howard fash...

At Kentucky, Rhyne Howard was about as dominant as it gets, and being the lone former ‘Cat in the WNBA, she has continued her reign of terror on the professional stage. Howard shined in her first two seasons in the W, being selected as an All-Star each year while winning Rookie of the Year in 2022. Last season, Howard averaged 17.5 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 3.5 APG, and shot 35.2% from three-point range — all improvements from her rookie year. The former 3x AP All-American seems to be improving on a game-to-game basis, and that has carried over to her third year in the league. In the Atlanta Dream’s seaso...
