Germany's Krause happy that Finot gets steeplechase gold after all
Beaten German runner Gesa Felicitas Krause said on Monday she was pleased that Alice Finot of France was reinstated as European 3,000 metres steeplechase champion after an initial disqualification. Finot won the race in 9 minutes 16.22 seconds in Rome's Olympic Stadium on Sunday night, almost two seconds ahead of Krause, with Elizabeth Bird of Britain third.
