You can watch the performance below. Skid Row played their first of four dates with Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale on vocals on Friday at Carterville, Illinois’ Walker’s Bluff Casino Resort. You can see video from the performance below. The band stuck mostly to classics off its first two albums, Skid Row and Slave to the Grind, according to setlist.fm. If Hale was feeling nervous or uncertain about her cold open with the rockers, she didn’t show it. She strutted across the stage, playing off both her bandmates and the audience, and nailed Sebastian Bach‘s piercing high notes with ease. (Incidentally, the band’s classic-era singer is curre...

If, as an artist, you play your cards right, making a memorable music video can help take a song from unassuming to ultimate hit. There are a lot of ways to do this, one of them being the inclusion of a famous face. Featuring a celebrity, often an actor or model, is an awfully effective way to get listeners to make note of a song — sometimes it’s what people remember seeing more than what they remember hearing. In the below list, we’ve compiled 50 examples of celebrity cameos in music videos. In some cases, the person is almost instantly recognizable, but in other instances, the celebrity in q...

Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil has a simple declaration for the critics who have tried to write them off for decades: “You can’t kill us!” Neil and bassist Nikki Sixx recently spoke to UCR’s Matt Wardlaw about Motley Crue’s new single, “Dogs of War,” out today. You can listen to part of the conversation below. The defiant track marks the first Motley Crue song since 2019 and their first with guitarist John 5, who replaced founding guitarist Mick Mars in 2022. The song switches between grinding alt-metal riffs and eerie, melodic verses, and in the chorus Neil sings, “Don’t let them take the cr...

It’s one of several GN’R deep cuts that Slash has revived on his current tour with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, along with the Illusion tracks “Don’t Damn Me” and “Bad Apples,” both of which Kerns also sings. Guns N’ Roses themselves haven’t performed “Perfect...
