'Blade' is searching for another new director, after Yann Demange departed the movie. The French-Algerian filmmaker is said to have withdrawn from the project "a while ago" in what was an "entirely amicable" exit, and it makes him the second director to depart the motion picture after he had previously replaced Bassam Tariq. Yann Demange is to direct 'Blade'. The 45-year-old filmmaker has stepped in to direct the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project after original helmer Bassam Tariq dropped out in September. Yann's previous directing credits include the TV shows 'Top Boy' and 'Lovecraft Country'. Mahershala Ali is still attached to play the lead role in the movie and Michael Starrbury has been hired to write a brand new script for the picture.
