AAA Unveils Coveted Five Diamond Hotel & Restaurant Designations

AAA has announced its newest Five Diamond list, comprised of only two hotels and restaurants in Western Pennsylvania. These establishments mark their spot on an exclusive list which represent less than 1% of the nearly 60,000 AAA Diamond establishments across the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Falling Rock at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort has again earned the AAA Five Diamond Designation, maintaining this prestigious honor consecutively since 2006. Additionally, Lautrec in the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort has again earned a prestigious AAA Five Diamond Designation, proving to be one of the most upscale and noteworthy area restaurants consecutively since 2007.

“We are pleased to again honor these locations at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort with the Five Diamond Designation, a testament to their superior standards and levels of hospitality,” says Terri Petrick, president of AAA East Central. “Each Five Diamond hotel and restaurant represents AAA’s commitment to quality in the hospitality industry.”

About the AAA Diamond Program
For more than 80 years, AAA’s professional inspectors have conducted in-person property evaluations. AAA is the only entity using comprehensive, on-site professional hotel and restaurant evaluations guided by member priorities.

To earn the coveted AAA Five Diamond designation, hotels and restaurants must pass a rigorous evaluation that includes unannounced, in-person inspections, anonymous overnight stays for hotels, and, finally, review by a panel of experts as an additional step to ensure credibility. All AAA Diamond Program hotels and restaurants are re-evaluated annually to insure they provide the best experience for travelers and diners.

AAA Diamonds Are Inspected Clean

Now more than ever, travelers want peace of mind when choosing where to stay. AAA enhanced each inspection with ATP surface testing, the same technology used to verify cleanliness in the healthcare and food service industries. Inspected Clean hotels have passed inspections with ATP surface testing so travelers can rest assured their room is as clean as possible. For more details, visit AAA.com/Diamonds.
