“Old Town Road” singer Lil Nas X posted a picture of himself and Glow Princess (Armanda Tounghui) and captioned it, “the surgery was a success (double heart emoji).”

Fans were quick to call out Lil Nas, saying he made the trans community the punchline of his joke.

Lil Nas responded with, “I’m literally just saying she looks like me y’all cannot be f—ing serious.”

After a few more heated exchanges, the rapper deleted the post and post an apology.

In 2021, Lil Nas had to deal with a much larger controversy pertaining to his “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” music video where he slides down a pole into hell and gives Satan a lap dance.

Critics claimed the singer was encouraging devil worship and was pushing kids to “turn gay.”

Lil Nas knew he would spark outrage, but wanted to, “open doors for many other queer people to simply exist,” he said in a letter to his younger self.

He continued, “You see this is very scary for me, people will be angry, they will say I’m pushing an agenda. But the truth is, I am. The agenda to make people stay the f— out of other people’s lives and stop dictating who they should be.”
