Trump PAC’s “Pudding Fingers” Attack On DeSantis Gets Mixed Reviews

Republicans are deriding an ad released by a political action committee (PAC) throwing its support behind former President Donald Trump.

The ad, depicting a person eating pudding with three fingers, claims that Florida governor and presumed Republican presidential adversary Ron DeSantis “loves sticking his fingers where they don’t belong.”

The ad referenced a report by The Daily Beast that suggested DeSantis staffers watched the Florida governor eat pudding with his bare hands. The article was meant to highlight DeSantis’ struggles to connect with others, including his staff.

“DeSantis has his dirty fingers all over senior entitlements, like cutting Medicare, slashing Social Security, and even raising our retirement age,” the ad claims.

The video, posted on MAGA Inc’s war room on Twitter, is an intro into the vitriol many expect between the DeSantis and Trump campaigns. The two political figures, who occupy the far right of the political spectrum, are expected to fight each other in cultural battles in the upcoming presidential primary.

Not all Republicans are loving the ads.

“It is insulting not only, you know, to push ads and promotions like this, but to think the American people would buy it or should be exposed to it,” Fox News host Neil Cavuto said on his show. “I just find it idiotic.”
