Quillbot is a paraphrasing tool powered by artificial intelligence. Its role is to rephrase, modify or even change the tone of a text to improve comprehension. Note that, for the moment, the service only works in English and German. The site also offers other services, such as a grammar checker, a writing assistant and a translation tool. The concept is available in the form of extensions for Chrome and Word.
How does it work?
This rewriting tool is powered by AI, which chooses the right words -- or at least the most appropriate ones according to the context. It's extremely easy to use, as you simply type (or copy) your text and then click on "Paraphrase." The AI then gets to work to come up with the best paraphrased version. With a synonym slider, you can decide whether you want to change the result more or less compared to the original text.
How much does it cost?
The service is free. However, a premium subscription (starting at $8.33 per month) provides access to more rewriting modes.
