Lucky Hank, new a black comedy-drama television series on AMC, stars Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) as Hank, a struggling writer and creative writing professor at a Pennsylvania college. The series sees Hank navigate through the tumult of his personal and professional lives while undergoing a midlife crisis.

Mireille Enos (The Killing), who plays Hank’s wife, Lily, talked with uInterview founder Erik Meers in an exclusive interview at SXSW in Austin, Texas to discuss her role and experience working with Odenkirk.

“Bob Odenkirk has the most spectacular mind that never stops working… Those first couple of days on set you could just see his wheels turning and then the brilliant, crazy, bananas things that would come out of his mouth, and you just had to like hold on because you never knew what was going to happen. It was incredible!”

When asked about what she will remember most about the shoot, Enos said, “It’s a love affair with this whole cast. It’s an embarrassment of riches. The whole ensemble, they are so incredible, and we are just crazy about each other. The camaraderie, the laughter, the dinner parties – it’s been very special.”

Enos is married to Succession star Alan Ruck, who joined her on the red carpet.
