Modern cars are getting coupled with more tech than anyone ever thought would make its way into a vehicle. From the S650 Ford Mustang with a screen from the driver pillar to the middle of the dash to Tesla’s massive screens that many other manufacturers have adopted. But why stop with just half the dashboard when you can make a screen stretch across the entire thing? That’s probably what the designers for the refreshed Cadillac Escalade, expected for 2024, thought with the decision to implement a 57-inch screen into the car.
2024 Cadillac Escalade Interior: Details
According to our friends at GM-Trucks, the refreshed 2024 Cadillac Escalade will have a massive pillar-to-pillar infotainment screen. The screen will measure 57 inches and encompass a 12,288 x 1560 pixel screen resolution. The RPO for the new “infotainment” system family will be “URX.” But that’s not all, as General Motors will also add a “Virtual Cockpit” system, developed with Qualcomm, to the full-size SUV. This system includes support for in-vehicle subscriptions, 5G connectivity, vehicle customization, and vehicle personalization. The 2024 Escalade is will also keep the epic Super Cruise feature, which makes long road trips significantly less exhausting (when it works).
It was also confirmed that the Cadillac Escalade-V will persist into the 2024 model year and will also gain the new interior-encompassing upgrade. It’s unknown if the up-and-coming electric Escalade IQ will share the same interior as the internal combustion engine Escalade or if GM has something entirely different up its sleeves.
This new interior design will mimic the Cadillac Celestiq, which is an extremely limited all-electric luxury car intended to compete with vehicles such as Rolls-Royce. With a price tag north of a quarter of a million dollars. The 2024 Escalade should be a cheaper option to get the luxurious interior, though with an expected price tag of around $100,000; it might only be obtainable for some.
