Nectarine marzipan cake

Ingredients for 20 pieces:

Topping:

600 g nectarines

Mixing dough:

250 g butter
250 g sugar
1 pinch of salt
5 drops bitter almond flavouring
2 packets bourbon vanilla sugar
100 g marzipan paste
4 eggs
300 g flour
1 sachet vanilla custard powder
2 tsp baking powder
125 ml milk

also:

100 g marzipan paste
50 g flaked almonds

Preparation:

For the topping, wash the nectarines, cut them in half, remove the stone and cut the flesh into wedges. Place the butter, sugar, salt, bitter almond flavouring and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl. Grate the marzipan over the top. Cream the ingredients. Stir in the eggs one by one. Stir in each egg for about 2 minutes. Mix flour, vanilla pudding powder and baking powder and stir in briefly. Spread the dough onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Rub the marzipan paste grate over the top. Place the nectarine wedges on the marzipan mixture. Sprinkle with flaked almonds. Bake in a preheated oven at 175° or gas: Bake for approx. 30-35 minutes. Then leave to cool on a cooling rack. Serve with whipped vanilla cream.

Preparation time approx. 25 minutes.
