Kelly “K.C.” Amos, the son of 1970s sitcom Good Times star John Amos, was arrested on suspicion of making threats against his sister, Shannon Amos, as the siblings fight over their father.

In June, Johnaccused his daughter of elder abuse after she claimed that someone was abusing him. She has denied doing, so but since then, she and K.C. have been publicly fighting over the matter.

After John’s hospitalization, Shannon stated that K.C. did not have medical power over their father anymore and other family members have stepped up to take care of John.

In addition to this, Shannon filed a cease and desist against her brother, calling the statements he made on social media false and defamatory.

Now K.C. has allegedly made “terroristic threats” to Shannon. He was arrested and booked on Sunday in Essex County Jail in New Jersey. Shannon reported to police that her brother was threatening to kill her and that she was concerned he would actually go through with it due to his bipolar disorder. She stated that K.C. believed that she had hired someone to kill him and was retaliating.

K.C. allegedly sent her a video of him firing a handgun with the threat, “gonna sleep much better tonight big sis.” She also is accusing him of sending her a picture of a rifle with the caption, “that big one can clean a turkey out from 3 football fields away.”

She is blaming him for her father’s poor health and states that she is “pleased” that his actions will be held accountable.

While her father was in the hospital, Shannon started a GoFundMe where she allegedly lied about his health, stating he was in the hospital and was “fighting for his life in the ICU.” In addition to this, she posted on her Instagram page that he was “hanging by a thread” and was “in immense pain.”

John called these claims “ridiculous” and that he had no idea that she started the fundraiser. After her actions were exposed, Shannon took down the page.
