Production for the 2024 Ford Ranger is about to begin in the United State, which means customers in the USA and Canada have been able to start placing their orders for the new midsize truck. As such, Ford has finally gotten enough to put together all of the statistics for how people are equipping their new Ranger pickup truck.
What Are The Most Popular 2024 Ford Ranger Configurations At Launch For The USA Market?
Starting with the top three configurations for the 2024 Ford Ranger, customers have been picking the XL STX 4WD trim in Oxford White, followed by the Cactus Gray XLT Sport 4WD 301A trim with an available tow package; lastly, Shadow Black is the most popular option for the Lariat Sport 4WD with an available tow package. As for the highly anticipated Ford Ranger Raptor, 40% of customers have chosen the available beadlock wheel and graphic for the truck, with the most popular exterior color being Shelter Green Metallic, followed by Shadow Black.

From there, it looks like customers are buying the truck with the intention of taking it off-roading, or at the very least using it in areas where the 4-wheel drive is vital in the wintertime, as 80% of customers have been choosing that drivetrain option over the 2WD. Meanwhile, about 70% of customers have equipped the trucks with a tow-hitch. Half of the customers that have placed an order so far have also opted for Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Brake Controller, which are extremely useful. Finally, 20% of customers have opted for the available FX4 Off-Road Package, so a large number of customers are planning on using their trucks for some fun weekends, or to at least have the insurance in which to do so.
As for pricing, the 2024 Ford Ranger will start at $34,160, including the destination fee, which is more expensive than the base Chevrolet Colorado that just rolled out and some $7,000 more than the base price of the last-gen Ranger. But, customers are getting far more content than they got before with a larger screen and other features that take this truck a step into the modern age of automobiles. It’s an epic vehicle, and we’re sure it’ll be a popular choice for people that want a truck built by the Blue Oval.
