Sunken apple pie

Ingredients for approx. 12 pieces:

approx. 600 g small apples (e.g.: Cox Orange)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
50 g dark chocolate
200 g butter
175 g sugar
1 packet vanillin sugar
4 eggs (size M)
250 g flour
2 packets of pudding powder (vanilla flavor; for cooking)
2 tsp. baking powder
100 g whipped cream
175 g applesauce
1 tsp. cocoa
3 tbsp. milk
75 g quince jelly

Preparation:

1. Peel apples, cut into quarters and cut out the core. Cut quarters in a fan shape several times on the round side. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Finely chop chocolate.

2. Cream soft butter, sugar and vanillin sugar. stir in eggs one at a time. Mix flour, pudding powder and baking powder. Alternately add cream and applesauce briefly. Pour 1/3 of the dough into a springform pan lined with baking
Springform pan (26 cm diameter).

3. Stir chopped chocolate, cocoa and milk into the remaining batter. Pour onto the center of the light dough and spiral through the light dough with a fork.

4. Top the dough with the apple quarters and bake in a preheated oven (E.-heater: 175°C/Gas: level 2) for 50 - 60 minutes. Then brush the cake with the warmed jelly and leave to cool.

Preparation time approx.: 40 minutes + baking time
