On-Head-Review: Kiwi Design Comfort Head Strap

I am back again with another wonderful product from Kiwi Design! I was able to spend a great deal of time rocking the VR and in their comfort head strap. I probably played for about 18 hours in total in this new head strap. I played action games, standing, sitting, moving and shooting. Today I will give you my complete opinion on this head strap. Spoiler alert I LOVED IT.

Design Features

The head strap itself connects directly to your VR with a simple snap. Did you know that the side pieces pop off? I sure didn’t. With a very simple bend they pop loose and allow the new head strap to click in in seconds. The head strap also has an extremely durable hinge built in. This is designed to allow you to flip the VR up without taking it off your head to see the boring real world. The hinge allows you to flip this up 52 degrees for maximum real world viewing.

Tightening and loosening is also much easier than ever before. No more messing with annoying stretchy straps on the sides that never feel like they’re even or correct. The Comfort Head Strap has a twist knob on the rear that allows you to tighten and loosen the same as turning the radio up and down. This is so much easier when playing with friends. The strap can fit head sizes ranging from 17.7 to 29.5 inches. This means even my Brother with his gigantic head can play on my VR.

Kiwi also redesigned the top strap as well. They kept the single velcro strap but added a widened and super soft cushion pad to allow for more comfort on the head. They make it simple to adjust as well. It is also a sleek black design to match the rest of the strap and pad. The back side of the strap features a large and very soft padding that rests on the back of your head, or my bald as my wife puts it, and provides a next level of comfort while gaming. This pad combined with the head strap keeps the pressure off of your face and spreads the weight evenly across the entire head. The pieces are also leather which allows for a super quick and easy cleaning.

Additionally, this head strap is able to connect to the battery pack that is also offered by Kiwi. The entire package including the VR can be easily carried in the Kiwi Design carrying case which we will hopefully have a future review on for all of you. The side pieces are built to last and not easy to break. However, if something ever did happen Kiwi Design does offer an 18 month warranty that based on my research is excellent. I don’t see us having to use it which is great!

Overall

By far one of my favorite products I have been able to use with my VR. Usually when I play there are multiple people who also want to get on. This has made it so simple to swap between people’s heads without stressing about adjusting straps and it fitting correctly. Kiwi has made it so that switching takes seconds instead of a sweaty struggle. The Comfort Head Strap literally is not even a good enough name for how comfortable this is. If you are an avid VR player or you just play for fun, you need to invest in this. You can find this and all of their great products HERE. Right now as of this post, the Comfort Head Strap is on sale for only $39.99!
