What are the system requirements for Counter-Strike 2?

Counter-Strike 2 is rumored to be coming any day now. With some big updates and upgrades since Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, here is what we know so far about the PC requirements to run Valve’s latest shooter.

It’s been about a decade since CSGO came out. At this point, FPS players are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Counter-Strike 2 after years of rumors and secretive release dates. The upgraded graphics, reduced lag, and new smoke mechanics are enough to keep long-time fans hooked, but will they need to upgrade their PCs after all this time?

Counter-Strike 2 system requirements

Despite Counter-Strike 2’s rumored release date being just a few days away, Valve has yet to reveal any official system requirements. Luckily, it’s easy to figure out.

Based on CSGO’s requirements and CS2’s improvements, here are the most likely minimum requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-6300
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7850
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 60GB available space

As you can see, the minimum requirements are not too crazy. You definitely don’t need the newest graphics card or CPU to run Counter-Strike 2. While it’s more than what was needed for CSGO a decade ago, the predicted specs for Counter-Strike 2 are found in most computers from the last eight years or so.
