Mortal Kombat 1 players don’t like Megan Fox’s voice acting

Megan Fox has been getting roasted for her voice acting in Mortal Kombat 1. The voice of an evil vampire Nitara, Fox doesn’t seem to have the right menacing delivery to get the job done.

Nitara is an evil vampiric fighter from Mortal Kombat 1 that comes from the desolate realm of Vaeternus. When fans first found out she was voiced by the sultry and controversial Megan Fox, the community was ecstatic. That has changed since the game launched, however.

Fox may be electrifying in her personal life and on screen, but she hasn’t impressed as a voice actor. At least not in Mortal Kombat 1. The community has rallied together to critique her voice lines for lacking intensity and not matching the emotion they expect from a character in Mortal Kombat.

Mortal Kombat has history of bad celebrity kameos

Fox isn’t the first celebrity to underwhelm the picky fighting game community with subpar voice line delivery.

A Reddit threat was recently created to discuss NetherRealm Studios’ cringe taste in celebrity voice actors over the years. Ronda Rousey was a very unconvincing Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11, for example.

In response, some in the community begged video games to stick to trained and talented voice actors. But others enjoyed the celebrity kameos, although they wished it were someone a bit more dynamic like Jack Black.

For now, gamers have to keep hearing Fox’s abysmal voice acting in Mortal Kombat 1, leaving some to wonder how she wasn’t directed or corrected during the process.
