Oven chicken in gorgonzola sauce

Ingredients for 4 people:

4 chicken breast fillets (approx. 250 g each)
salt, pepper
4 slices of bacon
2 tablespoons oil
2 cloves of garlic
70 g Gorgonzola cheese
100 g whipped cream
700 ml poultry broth
4 slices of finely sliced air-dried ham
150 g cherry tomatoes
3 stalks of basil

Preparation:

1. Wash chicken breasts and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper and wrap each with 1 slice of bacon. Fry in heated oil, turning, until crispy, about 4 minutes and remove from the pan.

2. Peel and finely chop the garlic and sauté in the frying fat. Add Gorgonzola in small add cream and broth, bring to a boil and season with pepper.

3. Pour sauce and chicken breasts into a wide baking dish. Cover breasts with
ham slices and bake in a preheated oven (E.-Herd: 200°C/ Gas: Level 3) for approx. 20 minutes.

4. In the meantime, clean and wash the tomatoes, halve them if necessary. Wash basil and chop finely except for a few leaves for garnish. Add tomatoes and basil to sauce after about 10 minutes of cooking.

5. Season the sauce again and serve garnished with basil. Serve with fresh white bread.
