Will Reeve, the youngest son of the late Superman star, Christopher Reeve, and his girlfriend, Amanda Dubin, attended the 11th annual Bring Change to Mind Gala in New York City hosted by actress Glenn Close this week. Many attendees remarked that Will looked like the spitting image of his late dad in his early years.

Will wore a dark navy suit, a black tie and a button-down shirt with white and blue pinstripes. Dubin was seen in a cropped black top with floral accents, as well as high-waisted black pants underneath a black jacket.

Christopher had quite a legacy, not just as an actor but also as a philanthropist. Christopher and his late wife, Dane Reeve, started The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, which is “dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by advancing innovative research and improving the quality of life for individuals and families impacted by paralysis.”

Christopher was just 52 years old when he died of heart failure on October 10, 2004, nine years after he fell off a horse. He spent the rest of his life paralyzed from the shoulders down. Dana was 44 years old when she died of lung cancer on March 6, 2006.

Despite this, the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation is still kept active by Will, Matthew Reeve and Alexander Reeve, Christopher’s other children from his previous marriage to Gae Exton.

Bring Change to Mind is a non-profit organization co-founded by Close to “end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness.” Actor Ryan Reynolds won the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter award at the event.
