The Miami Dolphins will be featured as the in-season team for HBO’s Hard Knocks, which is due to air on Max later in the fall.

The Dolphins will be the third team to be featured on the in-season version of the show, joining the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals as the most recent teams to be covered in-season.

The last time the Dolphins were on Hard Knocks was back in 2012.

Dolphins’ head coach Mike McDaniel commented on the team’s involvement when meeting with local media on Monday.

“I wouldn’t call it a team decision,” McDaniel said. “I steer clear of worrying about things that we can’t control. I see some positives with this particular team, just knowing that there’s a lot of things that, in terms of when we do have success on the field, people are curious as to how that happens. I think they’ll see exactly where that comes from. I don’t think it’s a bad thing for people to see our day-in, day-out hard work.”

McDaniel said filming won’t begin until November 5, which is when the Dolphins will return from their game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany.

Viewers and fans will also get a behind-the-scenes look at the AFC East team who have made headlines this season, specifically their record-breaking 70-20 against the Denver Broncos.

The Dolphins are currently 5-2 after a 17-31 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. They are currently on top of their division and will face rivals New England Patriots on October 29.
