Why is Apex Legends cross-progression not working?

Apex Legends players are complaining that cross-progression isn’t working for them after Respawn added the highly requested feature in Season 19.

Season 19 “Ignite” added a wealth of content and updates to Apex Legends, but fans were primarily excited about sharing their progress across multiple platforms. The cross-progression feature has frequently been requested, and Respawn made well on its promise by introducing it to the game.

However, players are experiencing issues while trying to enable cross-progression. Respawn has addressed the complaints in a recent post on X.

Why is Apex Legends cross-progression not working?

As per Apex Legends, cross-progression is being gradually introduced, so there’s no need to be concerned if it’s not functioning just yet.

“As a reminder, Cross Progression will be rolling out to Apex Legends in waves over the coming weeks. Please do not try to link/unlink your accounts to speed up the process, as that will not impact when you receive the cross-progression prompt,” Respawn said.

The developer hasn’t shared an exact date for it, but the new feature may smoothly start working after a few weeks, as mentioned in the post. Until then, players should refrain from applying random fixes to make it work.

How to enable cross-progression in Apex Legends?

Cross-progression is enabled automatically by Respawn when it’s available in your region and account.

When cross-progression is enabled for you, you will see a prompt for confirmation. To initiate migration, click on the “Continue” button. Cross-progression should eventually become available for players who have already signed up on EA and linked all their accounts.

The platform will pick the account with the highest level as your primary ID and use it for cross-progression of items. Now, no matter which platform you play from, as long as you’re signed in to your primary EA ID, your progress will transfer across all devices.
