Basketball: Lakers forward Hachimura sidelined with nasal fracture

Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura will miss the team's away game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday due to a nasal fracture, the NBA club said.

The 25-year-old, who has averaged 11.8 points and 3.8 rebounds over 12 games so far this season, is scheduled to be reassessed by a doctor in around a week, the Lakers said Friday.

It is another injury blow for Hachimura, who missed four games from late October originally for a left eye contusion before he was placed in the NBA's concussion protocol.

He scored his season-best 24 points when he returned on Nov. 8 in the Lakers' 128-94 loss to the Houston Rockets.

Hachimura registered nine points and three rebounds over 25 minutes in the Lakers' last game, a 104-101 loss Wednesday to the Dallas Mavericks.
