By now, we all know that we have reached the beginning of the end of an epic era. The Chevrolet Camaro will leave the stage this year with a minimal production run for the 2024 model year. Furthermore, the 2023 Dodge Charger and Challenger will be leaving the stage in their current forms, silencing the Hemi roars from the Brampton Assembly plant come December 31st. This leaves the Ford Mustang as the only V8 muscle car on the market starting in January.
We’ve already seen the last supercharged LT4 V8 engine for a 2024 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 come off the assembly line a few days ago. Now, an image has leaked onto Facebook, which has since been removed, showcasing a slip stapled to what we believe to be the frame of a Camaro stating that the last sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro convertible was rolling through the Lansing Grand River Assembly line at the time of capturing the image.

Luckily, nothing is ever truly lost on the internet, and the image was also posted to the Camaro6g forum, which allows us to catch a glimpse of the image still, showcasing a vibrant red with black racing stripe 2024 Chevrolet Camaro convertible. Above the photo, a congratulations to the Lansing Green River team, who has produced this beautiful car. The image was posted mid-last week, which leads us to believe the vehicle has already finished production, rolled off the line, and is being shipped to whoever has purchased this beautiful car. Whether they will know they own the last sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro convertible remains to be seen, but we would like to think there’s some little detail somewhere showing how much sentimental value this car has.
What’s Next For The Chevrolet Camaro?
December 7th will be the final production day for the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro. After the Camaro nameplate goes back in the box, there’s no definitive plan as to when the muscle car marque will surface next. It’s speculated that it could be an EV, but with the massive ‘L’ GM and other automakers are taking when it comes to moving electric vehicles, it’s possible that we might see something a little less disruptive.
