Legacy Keeper: Air Serbia Safeguards Nikola Tesla's Heritage

In the realm of the aviation industry, Air Serbia not only holds the distinguished position of being among the top 10 airline pioneers globally but has also embraced a role that transcends time – that of a Nikola Tesla ambassador.

The Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe, the last standing laboratory of the renowned Serbian-American inventor, recently bestowed the title of Tesla Ambassadors upon select entities. Among them, Air Serbia proudly carries the mantle, symbolizing a unique connection between the aviation industry and the enduring spirit of Nikola Tesla.

The man whose visionary dream was to build a Radio City at the Wardenclyffe site in Shoreham, NY, in 1901 is enshrined in the annals of innovation. Back then, Tesla acquired 200 acres for this ambitious project, financed by JP Morgan, and enlisted the services of renowned architect Stanford White to construct a groundbreaking laboratory.

The echoes of Tesla’s bold spirit resonate through time, and Air Serbia has taken up the responsibility of upholding his name and legacy, particularly in commemoration of the eight-decade remembrance day. The Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe envisions a future global celebration of Tesla, with efforts to designate Tesla’s birthday as an international day, seek UNESCO protection for the Wardenclyffe laboratory as a heritage site of significance to humanity, and establish an international Tesla award on par with the Nobel Prize.

A pivotal part of this vision involves the creation of the International Tesla Committee, comprising members from at least a hundred countries. This committee is poised to play a crucial role in ensuring that Tesla’s contributions to science and humanity receive the global recognition they deserve.

As Air Serbia continues to trace its roots back to the aviation pioneers of 1927, it simultaneously propels itself into the future with a commitment to excellence in aviation. As a key player in the airline industry, the carrier has undergone transformative phases that mirror the evolution of the broader aviation landscape.

Looking ahead to the 2024 summer season marked by growth and development plans, Air Serbia invites individuals to join its journey. A new job opening for cabin crew signifies not only the anticipation of a busy travel season but also the airline’s commitment to fostering talent and maintaining its status as the region’s fastest-growing airline.

In the intersection of aviation history and scientific legacy, Air Serbia proudly stands as a Tesla Ambassador, bridging the past and the future, and contributing to the global recognition of Nikola Tesla’s groundbreaking contributions to humanity.
