'LIKE A PACK OF SKITTLES': NEXT-GEN DODGE CHARGER TO HAVE EVEN MORE COLOR OPTIONS

As production for the current generation Dodge Charger and Challenger approaches an end, anticipation for what the brand has in store for its next generation of muscle cars has never been higher, and outside of some leaks, Dodge has kept quiet about the replacement for the legendary muscle cars. Now, some more information has leaked regarding exterior colors, and there will be plenty of options for customers to choose from.

Dodge has always had an assortment of exterior color options available for customers to make their desired muscle cars even more special. Over the last two decades, Dodge has revived several epic colors from its 1960s and 1970s muscle cars while introducing new ones. According to Mopar Insiders, the next-generation Dodge Charger will have eight primary exterior colors for the first year of production, returning from the current generation. White Knuckle, Pitch Black, Destroyer Grey, and Triple Nickel. While four hues will be new, including Vapor Grey, Redeye, After Dark, and Peel Out.

Vapor Grey debuted on the 2023 Dodge Durango, replacing the popular Granite Crystal paint job. Redeye is also a returning color, though it was never seen on the current Dodge Lineup; the paint code (PR6) was last seen as Ruby Red on the Dodge Stratus Coupe in 2002. As for After Dark, the paint code (PPS) was last seen on the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica known as Fathom Blue. Finally, Peel Out is a reincarnation of the beloved Header Orange paint color, later used in 2014.

On the note of colors, Dodge may only offer a black interior for the first year of the next-generation Charger. We’re sure the brand will unveil limited edition colors throughout the year. It’s exciting to see that Dodge will continue its tradition of keeping its muscle cars interesting with new color options.

Lastly, Dodge will reportedly launch pilot models of the next-generation Charger sometime in November of 2024, which is pretty exciting. That’s a big gap with just the Durango and Hornet in its lineup.
