Private DivisionとIntercept Gamesは、PC版「Kerbal Space Program 2」において、過去最大のアップデート「For Science！」をリリースした。
本アップデートでは、新しいゲームモード「探索モード」が追加。これにより、ミッションやアンロック可能な技術ツリー、カーボラー系でのキャンペーンの旅を通じてサイエンスポイントの収集を進めることができる。
その他にも、新しい科学機器パーツ、サイエンスポイントの収集を管理する新しいインターフェースも登場。また、大気圏再突入時の熱効果と耐熱パーツの挙動も新たに追加されており、ゲームのクオリティ・オブ・ライフを大幅に向上させる改善も行われている。
