Now that the year is coming to a close, why not bookend the end of the year with a kickass staff party? It will allow your team to reflect on all of the hard work they’ve put in during the year and also let loose, enjoy some drinks and spend some time with colleagues outside of the work norms. Choose an amazing venue
Finding the right venue is the first stop on your celebration checklist. Not only do you need to think of the vibe and energy it gives off, but you also need to think about convenience and accessibility. Whether you choose a banquet hall, a restaurant, or a transformed office space is completely up to you. Just make sure it’s going to work for everyone on your team.
Add a theme
Themes aren’t just for kids’ birthday parties! They help bring fun and personality to your New Year’s celebrations. Think of a theme that will work well for your team and everyone involved. For example, if your office attire is smart, consider going for something wild like a Disney themed party. Or, maybe you’ll choose a black tie theme so everyone has a chance to dress up for New Year’s. All you need to do is make sure everyone gets the memo so that no one is left out.
Think of entertainment
The last thing you want is a dull party. This is where you need to think long and hard about entertainment. You could hire a DJ for those who love to dance, and set up a karaoke machine for those that want to sing. You could even set up a space for games for those that would rather a quieter place to hang out. If your venue doesn’t provide food for you and the team, you’ll need to set up some sort of station filled with delicious festive nibbles. Or, you could ask everyone to bring a dish and turn it into a potluck! Either way, people will get hungry at some point, so you need to think about it in advance.
Show your appreciation
Finally, take the time to show your team how much you appreciate them. This could be in the form of a heartfelt speech, a video slideshow, or even an awards ceremony with gifts involved. This will add a personal touch and help motivate your team for the upcoming year.
