Air Serbia Takes Flight With Cross-Generational Social Initiatives

To enhance travel accessibility for Serbian pensioners, Air Serbia has officially joined the Senior Card project. The strategic partnership was solidified in a ceremonial agreement signed by Jiri Marek, the CEO of Air Serbia, and Relјa Ognjenović, the director of the Republic Pension and Disability Insurance Fund.

“As the national airline, we have always been fully at the disposal of the state and the people of Serbia. Therefore, we are delighted to have the opportunity to participate in the extraordinary initiative of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and to help Serbian pensioners travel on Air Serbia planes at lower prices through the Senior Card project,” stated Marek.

Under the initiative, Air Serbia pledges a generous 15% discount on the price of airline tickets, available for purchase at the Galerija Shopping Center branch and through the Contact Center. With a network encompassing over 80 destinations, Air Serbia plays a crucial role in daily transportation for a significant number of pensioners. Marek emphasized the airline’s commitment to creating memorable travel experiences, acknowledging the wisdom and experience that older passengers bring on board.

“Age is not a barrier to discovering the world and realizing dreams. In the years to come, Air Serbia will continue to be a reliable partner for travel for pensioners. We will strive to create new memories together,” added Marek, showcasing the airline’s dedication to fostering a positive travel experience for older passengers.

In a parallel endeavor to support educational pursuits Air Serbia, represented by Marek, inked a contract at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia to join the “Student Cards” program. “Education is the foundation for building a stable future. Travel is part of education, during which new experiences and knowledge are gained, equally valuable as those obtained through formal education,” remarked Jiri Marek during the signing. Air Serbia aims to make air travel more accessible for students, encouraging them to explore the world and gain valuable experiences.

The airline expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, and the Postal Savings Bank for enabling their participation in these crucial social initiatives. With these partnerships, Air Serbia is not just connecting destinations; it is also forging cross-generational connections.
