EARTHCRUISER IS NOW TAKING DEPOSITS FOR ITS HUMMER EV UPGRADE

We’ve been watching the development of the GMC and EarthCruiser collaboration with the debut of the Hummer EV Overlanding concept several months ago. From teasers to the reveal of what this thing will look like, along with its assortment of features, it’s a spectacular creation that is worth the hype. However, until recently, the product just existed to test the waters. But not anymore.

EarthCruiser GMC Hummer EV: Details

EarthCruiser is now taking refundable $100 deposits for its Hummer EV Overlanding upgrade, though pricing has yet to be announced. We can expect to have more details on that front soon. Whatever the case, expect to tack it onto the price of a Hummer EV pickup, which currently starts at just under $100,000 USD. Unfortunately, while this setup is designed for overlanding, you’ll still need to return to civilization to recharge after a couple hundred miles, as the Hummer pickup’s highest range only goes up to 381 miles. That said, comfort and style are the name of the game while you’re off the grid.

The kit includes a carbon fiber structure integrated into the Hummer’s chassis and extends to the front of the cab. The top lifts once you’re ready to make camp, turning the back of the truck into a 12-foot tall living space perfect for two. Amenities include:

  • A 5-gallon freshwater tank.
  • 12-volt refrigerator and freezer.
  • Flat pack toilet.
  • 12-volt water heater.
  • Outdoor shower.
  • Induction cooktop.
  • A sink for washing up.

The build includes a table, multiple storage areas, and two swing-up exterior storage bins.

The camper section features a separate power supply from the Hummer EV, using a built-in 460 Amp-hour lithium pack connected to a 1,500-watt inverter. Keeping this system going is a large 605-watt solar array on the roof, which should work wonders; just be mindful of power consumption during those rainy days. If interested in purchasing this Hummer EV Earthcruiser kit, head on over to the EarthCruiser website to put down your $100 deposit.
