Pokimane hints that she may be leaving Twitch

The streaming community has been left on the edge of their seat after Imane “Pokimane” Anys hinted that she could be leaving Twitch for good.

On January 30, Pokimane took to X to tell fans that it’s “the end of an era.” After spending a decade streaming on Twitch, Pokimane said it’s “time to say thank you” for the memories of playing games like League of Legends, Fortnite, and Among Us on Twitch.

But fans noticed that Pokimane never explicitly said if she was leaving Twitch nor did she say where she was going…

Is Pokimane leaving Twitch?

Pokimane shocked fans with a surprise tweet earlier today hinting that she was done streaming on Twitch.

In response to the tweet, Twitch seemed to confirm that Pokimane was indeed leaving the platform. They responded: “What an incredible journey it’s been. We’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and what’s ahead in the future. You’ll always have a home on Twitch, Poki.”

Pokimane replied that the kind words were going to make her cry more.

After sharing the surprising tweet, however, Pokimane didn’t officially announce that she was leaving Twitch and didn’t mention where she’d go if she was leaving.

Is Pokimane streaming on Kick?

While a lot of streamers have migrated to Kick, Pokimane has been openly against gambling and other controversial activities that are allowed — and even encouraged — on Kick. This is most likely not where she is going to go although maybe she could be convinced with a big enough contract.

Instead, fans are wondering if she will move to YouTube or quit streaming altogether. Pokimane told fans in 2022 that she wanted to step away from full-time streaming to focus on other forms of content creation, including lifestyle vlogs and TikTok. Maybe she wants to stop streaming altogether, but we don’t know just yet.

Pokimane will share more about her upcoming journey and big changes tomorrow on her January 31 episode of her Don’t Tell Anyone podcast.
