Ice Spice gives 'Bronx Mommy' at Grammy Awards

Ice Spice channelled "Bronx Mommy" at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (04.02.24).

The 24-year-old singer appeared on the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena wearing a 2000s-inspired fur-lined jacket and matching maxi skirt from Baby Phat, accessorised with a gold cat-logo belt and a cross pendant necklace, and she was thrilled with her look.

Speaking to E! News' Laverne Cox, she said: "This is Baby Phat, I was giving Bronx Mommy tonight so yeah. This is my first time at the Grammys."

Kimora Lee Simmons revived the Baby Phat label last year and thought the 'Pretty Girl' singer was the perfect star to wear the brand to such a high-profile event.

She told Vogue.com: “As a brand with a legacy deeply embedded in the music industry, we took joy in dressing Ice Spice, who's had an outstanding year in music.

“Baby Phat's legacy of shaping style in the hip-hop community continues, seamlessly merging the past and present.”

Meanwhile, Ice Spice admitted she was "grateful and so excited" about her career so far.

She gushed to Laverne: "I'm just grateful and so excited to have so much success at such a young age, I can't thank anybody aside from God...

"I just want to thank my fans so much, they're so supportive and always tuning in to anything I drop, I'm really close to them."

The 'Munch' hitmaker previously fronted a campaign for Beyonce's Ivy Park's collaboration with Adidas and she admitted at the time she was in "disbelief" to be approached.

She told People magazine: "When I got the call I was in disbelief. It was all sinking in on the flight over [to the photo shoot]. I'm still so excited to be a part of this!

"[Beyonce] inspires me with her constant hard work and classy mannerisms. I love how she handles herself."
