A 19-year-old woman has died in hospital just three weeks after undergoing a bum lift procedure.

Yisela Torres Apresa was admitted to a clinic on January 13 after experiencing health problems and complications began after a filler was injected into her buttocks to enhance their shape and volume. It is unclear what substance she was injected with.

Ms Apresa then spent three weeks in the ICU in Santa Marta, Colombia \- but her condition worsened early on Saturday more before she suffered a fatal cardiopulmonary arrest. Now, authorities are working to determine the exact cause of her complications. According to her social media profile, Ms Apresa was studying at the University of Magdalena.

Her friend Leidy wrote: “Oh, little sister, how you left me. “You left me alone and sad. I still can’t believe what happened. Meanwhile, another friend, Sonia, wrote: “You don’t know the immense pain you’re leaving us with, dear.”

The sad news comes after a Brit mum-of-three collapsed and died whilst going for a check up days after undergoing a Brazilian bum-lift in Turkey last month.

Demi Agoglia complained of chest pains hours before her death and suffered a heart attack in a taxi on the way to a clinic. Her desperate boyfriend Bradley Jones tried to save the 26-year-old's life and after he gave her CPR, she was rushed into intensive care.

But medics in Istanbul were unable to bring her around and she was pronounced dead on January 10, hours before she was due to fly home to Salford, Manchester. The tragic woman gave birth to her third child just seven months ago and had previously flown to the country from dental work.

Her younger sister Georgina posted a tribute video of Demi on TikTok. She wrote: "I lost my sister yesterday. I miss you so much Demi. Nothing feels real anymore. How can you be gone. Just wanna hear you shout alright Rkid nothing with ever be the same without you I love you Demi x."
