Kristin Cavallari claims she was "love-bombed" by Sean 'Diddy' Combs.
The 37-year-old reality TV star has revealed the rapper became enamoured with her 15 years ago during her early days in the television industry and got her telephone number from a mutual friend before showering her with flowers, chocolates, toys and bottles of tequila in a bid to get her to go out with him - but Kristin didn't agree to a date and she now thinks she "dodged a ... bullet".
During an episode of her 'Let’s Be Honest' podcast, Kristin explained: "I was 22, I believe, we had a mutual friend, he got my number, whatever. He sent me the biggest bouquet of flowers I’ve ever seen. The biggest box of chocolates I’ve ever seen. A huge teddy bear.
"I mean, it was multiple people bringing [stuff] into my house. It was like [stuff] you see in a movie."
However, Kristin decided against going out on a date with the hip-hop star, 54, but she was tempted. She added: "I mean, there’s obviously a part where you’re like, ‘Whoa, this guy is spoiling the ... out of me.' Like that’s so sweet, and I’ve never met this guy."
Despite being turned down, Combs didn't give up with Kristin revealing he "kept asking [her] out".
Now she thinks she definitely made the right decision by turning down the date. Kristin said: "Now, as an adult, I’m like, ‘Red ... flag!' I mean, that’s some love-bombing kind of [stuff] ... I dodged a ... bullet ...
"I could never just go on a date with someone because it was so-and-so. I have always had to be attracted to you. … I don’t want to be the arm candy."
