A video has surfaced here showing a man in uniform gripping the arm of an elderly Kashmiri man, demanding that he utter the religious Hindu slogan “Jai Shri Ram.” The incident, captured on video has raised questions on whether the army should indulge in religious affairs.
The footage, shared widely on social media platforms, depicts the elderly man being asked to recite the slogan by the uniformed individual.
In response to the incident, Sarah Hayat Shah, a prominent figure and additional spokesperson of NC, took to social media, expressing her dismay. She emphasized the slogan “Hoshiyaar, Khabardaar,” urging people to remain alert and cautious in the face of such incidents.
Calls for an investigation into the incident and accountability for those involved have intensified, as the video was circulated widely online.
