On the night of February 9, the Russian occupiers attacked the south of Ukraine with Shaheds. An agricultural enterprise was attacked in the Mykolaiv region, according to Natalia Humeniuk, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, and Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

"In our area of responsibility, the attack was characterized by rapid development of events. Within an hour, the air defense forces were quite effective. The attack was concentrated in the direction of Kherson region, 4 UAVs were destroyed there and one in Mykolaiv region," notes the spokesperson.

She emphasizes that the attack also resulted in a hit. According to Humeniuk, an agricultural enterprise was hit and a fire broke out, which has already been extinguished.

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration confirms the operation of Ukrainian air defense in the region and the hit. According to him, Russians attacked the Oleksandrivka village of Horokhiv community with Shaheds.

As a result of the Russian attack, a fire broke out on a farm, damaging three trucks, a bus, and warehouses. As of 6:15 a.m., the fire was extinguished, and no one was injured.

Russian night attack on Ukraine

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces report that last night the Russian invaders launched 16 Shahed-type attack drones at Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense shot down 10 drones. Air defense was operating in the Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions.

There were strikes in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the Russian attack, a hotel and a restaurant, as well as cars, were burned. A security guard was injured and was treated on the spot.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, other strikes in the region damaged private houses, a three-story building of a recreation center, and a canteen.
