HENNESSEY HAS BIG PLANS FOR THIS GARAGE 56 EDITION CAMARO

The 2024 model year of the Chevrolet Camaro has already come and gone. With it, people had access to two special versions of the iconic muscle car: the Collector’s Edition and the Garage 56 Edition. The latter is based on the NASCAR Garage 56 Chevrolet Camaro, which raced at the 24 hours of Le Mans. Only 56 of these cars were ever produced, and it looks like Hennessey Performance has gotten its hands on one.

Hennessey Garage 56 Edition Camaro: Details

Hennessey Performance Engineering makes some spectacular upgrades for the Chevrolet Camaro, most notably the Exorcist, which sought to put the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon out of commission back in 2017 with 1,000 horsepower and 966 lb-ft of torque. Of course, Hennessey has other performance offerings available for just about every cool car on the market, so when the company posted a video of a Garage 56 Edition Camaro doing some Stock Dyno testing, it’s pretty clear that it’s planning to do some things to the car, and they will be epic.

A trip to the company website reveals that Hennessey will give this car the same treatment as the ‘Final Edition’ Exorcist upgrade. This means this scarce car will be elevated with way more power than when it rolled off the assembly line. Mechanically, the Garage 56 Edition Camaro makes 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque from its LT4 V8 engine. Couple Hennessey’s 1,000 horsepower performance upgrade with the unique aero work, which includes the front fascia of the Camaro ZL1 1LE featuring dive-planes like the race car and a NASCAR Cup car-style wicker bill spoiler on the decklid, and you’ve got yourself one heck of a muscle car on your hands.

After Hennessey is done with the Garage 56 Edition Camaro, it won’t just have a high-flow supercharger upgrade; it’ll also have upgrades to several engine components to ensure that the car will continuously perform at peak levels. The Exorcist can launch from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.1 seconds and achieve a quarter-mile time of 9.57 seconds at 147 miles per hour. So, this very limited edition muscle car will be even more desirable once the project is finished.
