Tom Clare surprised Molly Smith during their date, following her ex Callum’s advice to bring a dog teddy. The teddy had a resemblance to her own pooch at home, who surprises the Love Island star on video.
Love Island: Molly’s dog surprises her
Love Island star Molly has been missing her dog Nelly bigtime. So when Pomeranian Nelly, who is being looked after by her friend, Sophie, pops up smiling at her mum on live video, Molly is in shock.
As Sophie asks what it’s been like living with Callum, Molly says: “It’s actually so nice now that we’ve got to a point that me and him were even making breakfast for Jess and Tom. It’s nice to see him so happy.”
She added, “I don’t think we’d have ever got to this point if we didn’t come in here.” It’s the first time Nelly has been shown on TV, after Molly mentioned him during her date with Tom.
Pomeranian honored by Tom
During a Valentine’s Day date with Tom, who he’s coupled up with, Callum suggested he bring a teddy that resembles her dog. Molly said it was a cute gesture – but has no idea it was Cal’s idea.
When Molly first walked in as a bombshell minutes after her ex, Callum, she told the girls they had a dog and lived together. Tom wrote the name ‘Nelly’ on the pup, but fans think he should’ve been honest.
Molly has also been wearing a necklace, called the Custom Arabic Name Necklace, featuring a classic gold link chain with Arabic calligraphy, spelling ‘Nelly’ after her dog.
Molly shared Nelly with Callum
Molly has had Nelly since before she met Callum, with the pair discussing walking the pooch when they left the villa in 2020. The dog then moved in with them during their three-year relationship.
The former couple broke up in September 2023. Callum moved out of their shared home and took their pug, Winnie, with him. Meanwhile, Nelly the Pomeranian stayed with Molly.
Since their split, it is believed Molly and Callum have shared custody of their dogs. Back in November 2020, Molly modelled for clothing brand I Saw It First with Nelly, so the dog is no stranger to fame!
