Five Fani Willis zingers that made the internet declare her a 'BOSS'

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis swore to tell the truth, and if you agree with the people watching her hearing, she did it like a boss.

America tuned in Thursday to the evidentiary hearing where lawyers for former President Donald Trump and his Georgia racketeering case co-defendants quizzed Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade about a personal relationship they argue constitutes misconduct.

While Wade presented, as Willis described it, the demeanor of a "southern gentleman," the Fulton County prosecutor took a more direct approach.

Willis faced off against a team of lawyers who include Michael Roman's attorney Ashleigh Merchant, Rudy Giuliani's attorney Allyn Stockton, and Trump's attorney Steve Sadow.

If you agree with X, they lined'm up, and Willis hit'm out of the park.

Here are some of Willis' best zingers:

"You're Confused"

"You're confused, you think I'm on trial," Willis told Merchant. "These people are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020."

("Whew," commented @ReecieColbert, "Fani Willis is mopping the floor with home skillet.")

A Man, A Plan, No Canal, Panama

"I don't need anything from a man," Willis testified. "A man is not a plan. A man is a companion. I don't need anybody to foot my bills. The only man who has foot my bills completely is my daddy."

(Fani WillIs is kicking butt!" commented @StephensVina. "The Trump lawyers will never be equal to her! She Rocks.")

Rudy Giuliani Shade?

“Clients who can’t pay their bills aren’t clients.”

("First assigned reading in 'Lawyering 101'" commented @dryfly_whodat. Replied @Jerry5Wiley, "I screamed.")

On Whether Willis Was A Hostile Witness

“Ms. Merchant's interests are contrary to democracy," Willis told Judge Scott McAfee. "Not to mine.”

("I pity the person who thinks they can stand up to her," commented @NanParsons. "Damn she’s good."

Cash What?

Steve Sadow: "That $4,000 was part of your, my words, cash hoard that you had collected over time."

Fani Willis: "Cash what?!"

Sadow: "Hoard. H-o-r-d-e."

Willis: "Oh, I thought you said something different, sir."
