Packet of chicken looks exactly like famous alien ET - leaving shopper stunned

By Joseph Gamp

A shopper was left open-mouthed after a tray ofchicken breasts bore a striking resemblance to Hollywood’s favourite alien - E.T.

Spotted in a supermarket in Sterling, Virginia, US, the shopper couldn’t resist taking a picture of the seeming extraterrestrial poultry on display. Angela Foy Davis captured the image of packs of Bell and Evans air-chilled chicken breasts whilst doing her food shop. The squashed meat in the flat pack packages seems to create the perfect lookalike of the main character from the iconic 1982 ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’ film.

Taking to social media, Angela said: “I do NOT like the way these E.T. chickens are looking at me.” And after looking at the picture Angela was not the only one who spotted the alien. Rich McFerron said: “They can keep their ‘chicken’. Looks like E.T. didn’t get the chance to phone home.”

Meanwhile, Susan Stanton Gagon said: “E.T me I’m delicious", while Catherine Defino said: “E.T. phone home!” Another person commented “That’s why he was trying to phone home", while another joked: “I somehow knew E.T. tasted like chicken.”

It's the latest example of a food stuff resembling a famous face. In November last year, a man was left stunned after finding a Homer Simpson-shaped carrot. Romanzo Zolanzo had picked up a bag of carrots as part of his weekly food shop, but later noticed a familiar face looking back at him.

The carrot had Homer's signature beard stubble and two beady eyes, and there was even an outline for his nose – all in proportion to form Homer Simpson’s face.

And former US president Barack Obama's iconic gaze was once reportedly spotted on burnt toast. It became a bit of an internet sensation, and you can now even buy moulds to have Obama toast.

And in 2015, a woman in the US opened a giant tub of butter to find Donald Trump's face staring back at her, during his presidential election campaign. The image became an immediate sensation, and has remained one of the internet's hidden gems ever since.
