Jamie Carragher instantly trolls Gary Neville after ‘shocked’ Man Utd legend made huge confession live on air

Jamie Carragher hilariously took a cheeky swipe at fellow Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville after the Manchester United legend made a confession live on air.

Erik ten Hag’s men made it four Premier League wins out of four after their 2-1 victory over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Sunday.

Rasmus Hojlund’s stunning brace inside the opening 10 minutes was enough to seal all three points, despite a resilient Luton Town fighting back against the Red Devils.

United maintained their unbeaten run since the start of 2024, with the Red Devils winning six of their seven matches across all competitions since January.

Ten Hag is pushing for a top-four finish for United this season and the Red Devils are currently sixth, with the club five points adrift from fourth-place Aston Villa.

Ahead of the Luton Town match, former One Direction star Harry Styles caught the eye of many people with his surprise appearance at Kenilworth Road.

Gary Neville has now made an admission about seeing the 30-year-old Styles, who is believed to be a United fan, ahead of the match against Luton Town.

Man Utd legend Neville makes admission

Speaking on Sky Sports, Gary Neville revealed that he “didn’t recognise” pop sensation Harry Styles and he had “never seen him dress so smartly.”

Manchester United legend Neville hilariously admitted that he thought Styles, who visited the Sky Sports studio ahead of the match, was the son of a Luton Town director.

“I’ve got to get into the studio and try and resurrect the fact I didn’t recognise Harry Styles before the game because I’ve never seen him dress so smartly,” he said.

“He walked in with the Luton owners and I thought he was actually one of the director’s sons.

“[Did he recognise me?] No! Not that I’d want him to recognise me, he’s a United fan, so he may have done.

“I’m totally embarrassed, I’m shocked. My two girls will be horrified, mortified with me. I’m really sorry, Harry, I really am.”

Carragher reacts to Neville’s Styles blunder

Sky Sports shared the clip of Neville’s interview about Styles on their official X, formerly Twitter, account and the footage caught the eye of Jamie Carragher.

Carragher wasted no time in reacting to Neville’s admission by posting a response to Sky Sports’ initial tweet.

The Liverpool legend simply shared a photo of himself, Styles and Neville, with fans left in stitches at Carragher’s response.

Styles, who has his hair tied back in the aforementioned photo, is posing alongside Sky Sports pundits Carragher and Neville for the selfie.

It would appear that Styles probably did recognise Neville, despite the United legend being blissfully unaware of the former One Direction star.
