Well-renowned journalist very close to Sullivan drops major Thomas Tuchel to West Ham update

A brand new Thomas Tuchel to West Ham United update has just been provided by Jacob Steinberg.

Thomas Tuchel is being heavily linked with replacing David Moyes at West Ham, and the 50-year-old German still has his house in London after his stint with Chelsea.

The current Hammers manager is under real pressure now, following a run of eight games without a win, and the board are said to be extremely unhappy with the recent performances of the team.

The football being played by West Ham has been painful to watch over the past six or seven weeks. Yes we’re missing Lucas Paqueta, but we have plenty of other top-class players who should be capable of executing a more possession-based, front foot playing style.

It feels like the momentum has really shifted since our 6-0 defeat to Arsenal. Two poor results in our next couple of games could see Moyes moved on. So will Tuchel be the man to replace the Scot when he eventually leaves?

Thomas Tuchel to West Ham update

It seems as though the German manager may well be out of West Ham’s reach whenever Moyes moves on unfortunately.

Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg claims that Thomas Tuchel is ‘unlikely’ to be interested in taking over at the London Stadium, should Moeys get sacked and his job become available.

It’s no surprise really is it? Tuchel is a Champions League winning manager, and he’ll most likely want to take control of a club who have a chance of winning Europe’s premier prize.

My dream would actually be for someone like Ruben Amorim or Arne Slot to come in and take the reins at the London Stadium.

If we can’t get either of those two, then how about Graham Potter or Gary O’Neill? The most important thing is getting in a manager who is young, energetic, forward-thinking and has a real hunger to make a name for himself at the very highest level of the game.

Quite who that will be remains to be seem. Unfortunately for us though, it seems like Thomas Tuchel will not be the man to replace David Moyes anytime soon.
